Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University, Islamabad was established through an Act of Parliament on 21 March 2013. The first Vice Chancellor was appointed by the Chancellor – President of Pakistan, on the recommendations of Search Committee on 7th January 2014. Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences Islamabad is the Teaching Hospital of Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University.The Federal Medical College and School of Dentistry are the Constituent Medical and Dental Colleges of the University. The Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (largest tertiary care hospital in the capital) and the Dental Hospital are the attached teaching hospitals. There are over 20 Medical, Dental, Nursing and Allied Health Sciences Institutions in the Federal Capital Territory that are affiliated with SZABMU.

Over the last 7 years, there have been number of peer reviewed publications in both National and International Impact Factor Journals, highlighting the emphasis placed on quality research.School of Nursing & College of Nursing is the Constituent Institutes of SZAB Medical University which is offering Generic BSN ( 04 years Degree Program) and Post RN BSN (02 Years Degree Program)

Eligibility Criteria for Generic BSN

• Matric Science (Physics, Chemistry & Biology as compulsory subjects) with at least 50% marks.
• FSc (Pre-Medical) with 50% marks minimum (Physics, Chemistry & Biology as compulsory subjects).
• Age Limit: 14-35 years.
• 50% marks in SZABMU entry test is prerequisite for admission.

Eligibility Criteria for Post RN BSN

• Matric with Science (Physics, Chemistry & Biology as main subjects) with at least 50% marks.
• Diploma in Nursing (Registered with Pakistan Nursing Council).
• Diploma in Midwifery or any Post Basic Specialty for male in lieu of midwifery (Registered with Pakistan Nursing Council)
• 01 years as Registered nurse.
• Valid registration with Pakistan Nursing Council.
• NOC is must for those students who are working in Government Sector.
• 50% marks in SZABMU entry test is prerequisite for admission.
