The Indus School of Nursing and Midwifery (ICON) is the first educational institution of the Indian University of Health Sciences. The Indus College of Nursing & Midwifery offers nursing programs from diploma programs to the undergraduate level. In 1994 the Indus College of Nursing & Midwifery started with 35 female students to undergo a 3-year general nursing program. Indus College of Nursing & Midwifery in 1995 got its affiliation with Pakistan Nursing Council (PNC). 1997 first batch of students graduated from the general nursing program. Year 1997 Indus College of Nursing & Midwifery started midwifery training for Post RN graduates. In 1995 Indus College of Nursing & Midwifery enrolled with a batch of 25 male students on a self-financed program. In 2014 Indus College of Nursing & Midwifery initiated Post RN BScN and Post RN Pediatric Oncology programs.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing
The Bachelor of Science in Nursing program of Indus College of Nursing & Midwifery is a 4-year degree program. There is a total of 8 semesters and 138 credit hours for this 4-year degree program. After completing 4-year of Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Indus College of Nursing & Midwifery, there is one more year for internship. On the completion of 4-year of education and 1-year of the internship. All students can take their Pakistan Nursing council exam for Registered Nurse (RN) certificate.
Eligibility Criteria
For applying to the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program of Indus College of Nursing & Midwifery candidate must have passed his matriculation with physics, chemistry, and biology as compulsory subjects. Candidate must have passed HSSC with 50% of marks also with chemistry, physics, and biology as compulsory subjects. The age limit of this degree program is 16-35year.

Post-RN-Bachelor of Science in Nursing
The Post-RN-Bachelor of Science in Nursing program of Indus College of Nursing and Midwifery is a 2-year degree program. There is a total of 4 semesters for this degree program. The aim of this 2-degree program is to enhance students’ ability to perform clinical nursing care; develop analytical research skills and techniques; and learn management and leadership in the provision of nursing care.

The eligibility criteria for Bachelor of Post RN-Bachelor of Science 2-year degree program in Indus College of Nursing and Midwifery requires students to complete the conditions like candidate must have cleared their matriculation examinations having chemistry, physics, and biology as compulsory subjects. The candidate must have evidence of one year of clinical experience as an RN, completed RM diploma. Candidate must have professional qualification in Diploma in Nursing, Diploma in Midwifery or any post basic specialty.
